I'm going to give you a startup idea and I want you to stress-test it using 6 frameworks, one at a time. After each framework, pause and give me the output before moving to the next. Be direct, specific, and critical — I want honest analysis, not encouragement. Here is my idea:

[PASTE YOUR IDEA IN ONE SENTENCE HERE — be specific about the customer, the problem, and the solution]

Run the following 6 frameworks in order:

FRAMEWORK 1 - THE MOM TEST Identify every question I might naturally ask a potential customer that would give me false positive validation (leading questions, opinion questions, hypothetical questions). For each bad question, rewrite it as a Mom Test-compliant question that gets to real behaviour and past experience rather than future intentions or politeness. End with a list of 5 questions I should actually ask in customer interviews.

FRAMEWORK 2 - MARKET SIZING Build two market size estimates for this idea:

FRAMEWORK 3 - THE PRE-MORTEM It's 3 years from now and this startup has failed. Write a detailed post-mortem. Cover the 5 most likely causes of failure across: market (wrong problem, wrong customer), product (wrong solution, wrong experience), timing (too early or too late), competition (outgunned or outmaneuvered), and execution (ran out of money, wrong team, poor distribution). For each failure mode, give me one early warning sign I should watch for in the first 6 months.

FRAMEWORK 4 - COMPETITOR LANDSCAPE Map the existing solutions in this space — direct competitors, indirect competitors, and the "do nothing" option. For each, identify: their primary ICP, their positioning, their key weaknesses, and the customer segment they're underserving or ignoring. Conclude with a clear statement of the white space: who is not being served well right now and why hasn't someone already built this?

FRAMEWORK 5 - THE "WHY NOW?" TEST Make the case for why RIGHT NOW is the right time to build this — be specific about technology shifts, regulatory changes, behavioural changes, demographic trends, or economic conditions that have created this window. Then steelman the counterargument: why might the timing actually be wrong, or why might this window close before I can capitalise on it?

FRAMEWORK 6 - THE MOAT CHECK If this idea works and generates meaningful revenue, what happens in 12 months when a well-funded competitor copies it exactly? Walk through the defensibility of this business across: network effects, switching costs, proprietary data, brand, distribution advantages, and regulatory moats. Be honest about which of these I actually have at launch versus which ones I might develop over time.

FINAL QUESTION Based on everything above, what is the single biggest unresolved risk in this idea? And what is the cheapest, fastest way I could validate or invalidate that risk in the next two weeks — without building a product?
