Prompt
Build a speed reading web app demo called "SpeedRead". This is a demo prototype - no authentication, no onboarding flows, no sign-up required. Users should be able to land on the page and try the app immediately with pre-loaded dummy data.
Structure
Two pages:
- Landing page - clean hero section explaining the app, with a prominent "Try it now" CTA button
- App page - the actual speed reading interface, pre-loaded with sample text so users can hit play immediately
Landing Page
- Hero headline: "Read 3x faster. Starting now."
- Subheadline: "Speed reading that actually works. One word at a time, perfectly paced."
- "Try it now" button that goes straight to the app
- Simple 3-column feature grid: "Adjustable speed", "Works with any text", "Track your progress"
- Clean, modern design with dark mode aesthetic
App Page - Core Interface
- A large central display area where words flash one at a time
- The "optimal recognition point" (ORP) - the letter slightly left of center - highlighted in red while the rest of the word is white
- A horizontal progress bar below showing how far through the text the user is
- Pre-loaded with a 500-word sample text (an engaging excerpt about productivity or learning) so users can hit play immediately
Controls
- Play/Pause button (spacebar as keyboard shortcut)
- WPM slider ranging from 100 to 800, defaulting to 300
